DID ISLAMIC LAW CAUSE ISLAMIC CIVILIZATION TO DECLINE?

چکیده

The question of why Islamic civilization declined, and the theories proposed to provide an answer that constitute a significant topic discussion within field studies. This paper focuses on one advanced deal with this important question, theory which claims ‘the all-embracing law was cause behind civilization’s decline its inability revive’. In effort scrutinize integrity theory, present work analyzes relevant literature. finds out such relies heavily certain assumptions 18th-19th century orientalists, received many criticisms. Most importantly, it argues is self-contradictory because if caused civilization, must have not allowed rise in first place.
